There are many different purposes for shrink packaging. Can filling machine manufacturers share this article with you.
The purpose of the shrink machine is;
– Make the smallest package a larger and more complete package.
– Ensure that the product is packaged and kept clean.
– Ensure that the sealed state is maintained during the life of the product.
-Prevent product redistribution or resale.
-Provides durability by protecting the product from lubrication, moisture, water, and other factors.
– Deliver the product to the real owner by pasting the address label without causing any abrasion on the paper, leather, catalog, and other products.
-Where necessary, place advertisements, instructions, barcodes, warnings, and various graphics in the form of printed films.
-Provide a moisture barrier for certain foods (bread, vegetables, fruits, etc.).
– Ensure that the product is delivered in the first state.
– By adopting product shapes to present tension and visual beauty.
-Provide a parallel and transparent appearance.
– Make sure to group products and keep them together.
Shrink packaging is the process of wrapping the product or its surroundings with plastic film.
Although this process is described as "shrink packaging", packaging that covers the product without applying any heat is called "multilayer packaging."
The shrink film used in packaging shrinks with the help of heating and wraps around the product to form the shape of the product. The shrinking operation is performed on the shrinking machine and the film. The purpose of using the shrinking machine here is to provide a smaller area coverage by packaging the product in the same form during the packaging process.
The shrink Packing Machine works in two stages. The product will be wrapped by a layer of plastic film, which is called the suture source, and then sewn with a sewing machine. In the second stage, the tunnel is created by applying heat that allows shrinkage, which is called a shrink tunnel or thermal tunnel.
The correct shrink film and the correct shrinking machine should be used for shrinking.
Shrink Packing Machine
If we give an example;
We can pack products in two ways, folding on one side and opening on the other side.
1- With the help of an L-shaped sealer,
2- Use a continuous sealing machine method.
Sealing machine shrink packaging machine;
The side of the film that needs to be closed on three sides is first closed manually. Then, cut the other two edges with the help of L-shaped jaws to close the other two sides. On the other hand, since the front side of the next package is welded, the process will automatically resume at the junction of the other two sides.
Continuous sealing machine shrink packaging machine;
Similarly, the film that needs to be closed on three sides also passes through the rollers of the sewing machine and then is continuously cut. In this way, it can be cut into infinite length in the length direction. The remaining side will be cut by unidirectional welding with the help of vertical jaws.
A continuous sealing machine is divided into intermittent movement and continuous movement. Because products have a hard stop or lift acceleration, their shaking adds unique value to the automation of continuous motion. When the jaw system merges with the product at the same speed while the product is advancing in the conveyor belt, the cutting operation will be performed.
You need to choose a suitable shrink film and a suitable shrink machine for shrinking. In order to perform a proper shrink packaging operation, the shrink film should have appropriate specifications, and the two-stage shrinking process must ensure quality. The first stage should use a good welding machine, and the second stage should use a good heat channel.
Therefore, in order to be able to achieve the purpose of the shrinking machine, the shrinking operation must be performed with the correct method and the correct machine.
