How to Ensure the Normal Operation of Reverse Osmosis Equipment? (Part 2)

May. 19, 2020

Three. Graceful shutdown

When closing the RO water purification system, before closing the high-pressure pump, gradually open the high-pressure concentrated water valve. It is strictly forbidden to lower the pressure suddenly, and then rinse with permeate or high-quality influent water to remove the high Salt until the conductivity of the concentrate reaches the conductivity value of the influent. Flushing is carried out at low pressure (about 3Kg / cm2), and high influent flow rate is beneficial for cleaning.

The water used for flushing needs to be free of chemicals used in pretreatment, and absolutely must not have scale inhibitors, so when flushing, the addition of anti-scale agents and sulfuric acid should be stopped.

After flushing, close the water injection valve completely. If the end of the concentrate line enters the drain and is below the pressure vessel, the air outlet in the concentrate line must be located above the highest point of the pressure vessel, otherwise the pressure vessel must be siphoned out.

When the system is shut down for more than 48 hours, you must pay attention to:

1. The components cannot be dried, and the dried components will lose the flux and cannot be recovered;

2. The system can effectively prevent microbial derivation or periodic flushing every 24 hours. If the membrane tube cannot be rinsed with water every 24 hours, the system that is stopped for more than 48 hours must be stored with a chemical preservation solution;

3. The system should be protected from extreme temperature changes.

Four. Precautions

1. When the high-pressure pump is used for the first time, the exhaust valve must be opened to remove residual air from the high-pressure pump.

2. The high-pressure pump is strictly prohibited from idling without water.

3. The purpose of the high-pressure pump is to increase the pressure of the reverse osmosis membrane inlet water, the normal pressure after the pump is 10-12 kg.

4. The RO concentrated water pressure regulating valve is for regulating the pressure of the outlet of the high-pressure pump. It is strictly prohibited to close all the concentrated water regulating valves. The greater the opening of the concentrated water pressure regulating valve, the lower the outlet pressure of the high-pressure pump, and the more closed, the greater the outlet pressure of the high-pressure pump. All closures are strictly prohibited.

5. The temperature of RO equipment. It can be estimated based on the temperature of the base, if the temperature measured by the oil hole is more accurate. The shaft temperature rises continuously from the beginning to the running. After running for 1-2 hours, it tends to be stable. If the shaft is not installed correctly, the temperature rises suddenly and high temperature appears. Mainly because there is too much lubricant.

6. Manual rotation of a small machine confirms whether the rotation is smooth. Unsmooth rotation due to scratches, foreign objects, etc., is mainly due to the poor installation of the base.

7. If the large-scale machinery cannot be rotated manually, first turn off the power, check for vibration, noise, etc. After confirming that there is no abnormality, it is running.
